What sort of tailored training can you provide?

We offer flexible training options from short mental health awareness sessions, through to organisation wide programs. A core belief is there is no one-size fits all approach and every organisation is different. Get in touch to discuss your needs.


Why Mindseye Training and Consulting over other providers?

With experts and dynamic trainers with industry experience, there is commitment for the outcomes for your team and ensure the change is sustainable – not just another ‘tick the box’ exercise.


What is the course duration?

Standard MHFA courses run for 12 hours, and Youth MHFA courses are 14 hours in duration. All other blended courses have a duration of four hours.


Do I have to attend the whole course to receive a certificate?

Yes, in the case of a 2 day MHFA course, you must attend both days to receive a certificate. For blended or online courses, you must complete the elearning and the face to face session to receive a
certificate.


How do I become an Accredited MHFAider?

Upon successfully completing all attendance requirements, you will receive an email link to provide feedback and attempt the exam. If you receive 80% or more on the exam you will be emailed a
certificate of accreditation which will last three years.

After the three year period, you will be required to do an additional four hour refresher session to maintain your accreditation.


Is there any assumed knowledge?

No, there is no assumed knowledge to attend these courses.

 

I am an individual wanting to attend a course, when is the next public course?

The public course schedule is regularly updated. Please get in contact if you would like to attend.


I have mental illness or I care for someone who is unwell – can I still attend a course?

Yes, absolutely! Everybody is welcome, but please bear in mind before you book in that these courses are not therapy or counselling sessions. We cover sensitive topics which can be triggering, so please consider whether it is the right time for you to attend a course.


Can I complete the training online?

Yes, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mental Health First Aid is now available completely online. To gain your accreditation online, you must complete a 5-7 hour self-paced eLearning module, and then 2 x 2.5 hour facilitator led sessions via videoconferencing technology. To ensure the process runs smoothly and you purchase the correct eLearning voucher please get in contact.

Booking Terms and Conditions

For Organisations

  • For any cancellations within 15 business days a 50% charge will apply
  • A 20% non-refundable deposit may be required to secure dates at the time of booking.
  • Full payment is required within 30 days of the training date.
 

 For Individuals

  • All tickets must be paid in advance prior to the course commencing to secure a place
  • No refunds are given to participants after booking
  • Participants are welcome to substitute another person in their place if they are unable to attend
