Everyone has heard of time management, but what is energy management? Energy management is the process of understanding and optimizing your energy levels so that you can perform at your best. It is just as important as time management, if not more so. Time is a finite resource, but energy is a different story and we have more influence over its management.

There are four quadrants of energy: physical, mental, emotional, and meaning/purpose. Each quadrant is important for overall well-being and performance.

  • Physical energy is the energy you need to move your body and perform physical tasks. It is important for things like exercise, work, and play.
  • Mental energy is the energy you need to think, learn, and problem-solve. It is important for things like studying, working, and creating.
  • Emotional energy is the energy you need to feel good and connect with others. It is important for things like relationships, happiness, and resilience.
  • Meaning/purpose energy is the energy you need to feel like your life has meaning and purpose. It is important for things like your sense of identity, your values, and your goals.

When you are managing your energy effectively, you are able to:

  • Perform at your best. When you have the energy you need, you can focus, concentrate, and be productive.
  • Be more creative. When you are feeling energized, you are more likely to come up with new ideas and solutions.
  • Have better relationships. When you are emotionally healthy, you are better able to connect with others and build strong relationships.
  • Be happier and more resilient. When you have a sense of meaning and purpose in your life, you are more likely to be happy and resilient in the face of challenges.
  • Reduced stress. Energy management can help you to reduce stress levels. This is because when you are managing your energy effectively, you are less likely to feel overwhelmed or stressed out.
  • Increased wellbeing. Energy management can help you to improve your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Energy Management Training

Energy management is for anyone who wants to improve their performance and well-being. It is for people who want to be more productive, creative, and happy. It is for people who want to reduce stress and increase their sense of well-being.

It provides education about the 4 quadrants of energy (physical, mental, emotional and meaning/purpose), and how to use them to enhance individual performance and wellbeing.

Participants who complete an energy management program will have a clear understanding of their different energy domains, and how their daily actions have been either hindering or enhancing this energy. They will also have developed a targeted Energy Management Plan with key actions for them to implement immediately to improve their performance and energy levels.

Delivery mode and length

Energy management Training can be delivered either online or in person and the length will vary depending on the format and content. However, most programs typically last for 2-3 hours.
